About

Over the last few months, the Linnaeus Deliberation Circle has gathered and discussed information that relates to Linnaeus. Connecting this information to College stakeholders, the Circle has explored what impacts this information has on different members of the Gustavus community.

The main topics the Circle are considering in forming action plan proposals include:

  • name for the arboretum
  • bust of Linnaeus (located in the arboretum)
  • education
  • signage
  • settler and indigenous history
  • the arboretum’s connection to the Linnaean Gardens (Sweden)
  • underrepresented scientists
  • mission of the arboretum

If you would like to learn more about the information gathered by the Circle, please view their February Progress Report.
