You must be available Monday nights from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm (meetings typically run until ~8 pm.)
Serving as a representative on the Student Senate provides an excellent opportunity to serve the Gustavus community and to advocate on behalf of your peers. Senate is responsible for funding all student organizations on campus as well as recent initiatives including:
- expanding the laptop loaner program
- compost bins in student rooms
- first-year gender-neutral housing
- electronic newspaper readership program
- new bottle filling stations in halls
- free menstrual products in the Campus Center
To have your name listed on the ballot, fill out the application form by 4:00 on September 19th. Once you submit this form, you may begin campaigning according to Senate campaign guidelines. Elections will take place on September 22nd. Please review all information provided on the application regarding campaign regulations and important dates.
